Our church is contemporary in worship and approach to our community, yet unwavering in the truth of God’s Word. We seek to act as a twenty first century model that reflects the first century church devoting ourselves to worship, outreach, fellowship and discipleship.
Though we have grown from 21 to around 350 in just 4 years, we are a close family. We don't just meet together on Sundays -- we spend time during the week together, too. Through small groups that meet all over the region, we get together each week to have meals, pray, study, play, and serve the Henry County area.
Services occur each week in our sanctuary @ 10:30am. Our weekend gatherings are our lifeblood. We worship God and study the Bible in a creative but relaxed atmosphere. We catch up with each other and talk and laugh. We take care of one another. We give life to one another, and we learn what it really means to be a church.
We Are a Church With a Mission
Turning Point Church exists to lead people into a genuine, growing relationship with God. John 4:23 connotes that this is something that God is looking for. Our mission is to promote healthy relationships through small groups, which empower people for ministry and their life mission.

Turning Point began in the hearts of Pastors Michael and Charla Turner in 2002. As they fasted and prayed God confirmed it in their hearts and through their pastors. God was calling them to begin a work in Henry County. January 5th, 2003 the dream began in a home as Turning Point held its first meeting, with 21 other people. In March of 2003, Turning Point held its first public service in a school.
