About

Our church’s worship style is contemporary, blended with modern and classic hymns yet unwavering in speaking the absolute truth of God’s Word.

Though we have grown to over 650 people, we are a close family. We don't just meet together on Sundays -- we spend time during the week together, too. Through small groups that meet all over the region, we get together each week to have meals, pray, study, play games, have fun and serve the Henry County area.

Services occur each week in our sanctuary at 8:30am, 10:00am & 11:30. Our weekend gatherings are our lifeblood. We worship God and study the Bible in a creative but relaxed atmosphere. We catch up with each other, talk and laugh. We take care of one another. We give life to one another, and we learn what it really means to be a church.

We Are a Church With a Purpose

Our purpose at Turning Point can be summarized in a single statement:

To reach people with the life-giving message of Jesus that they might become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Our statement of purpose is based on two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart …soul and …mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (Matthew 22:36-40)

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…" Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. (Mark 16:15-20)

Turning Point Church exists:

  • To worship God with sincere expression.
  • To share the Good News of Jesus with others.
  • To connect with other believers in meaningful relationships.
  • To prepare disciples to fulfill their purpose.
  • To encourage leaders in their God-given destiny.

You can learn more about our purpose as a church at Turning Point 101 and more about how your gifts and calling fit into that purpose in the Discovery 301 Workshop.

So whether you've been in church for years or given up on church, we invite you to attend one of our services this weekend.
